Hello,

I keep getting the following error when trying to backup my BBCurve 8330 with Desktop 4.6. I tried going back to 4.3 and have the same issue. Perhaps something is causing the error on my actual device? Anyone else encounter issues with backing up?

This is actually a known issue..
First you want to delete your browser cache, data, and cookies before backing up and do a battery pull before trying to back up again after deleting your browser cache, data, and cookies.

I faced similar problems with my Bold. So I follow your tips to remove all the browser cache, cookies etc but still have same error. Perhaps it is compatibilty issues - I am using Windows XP on my Macbook ( VMware )). I will try it again on my home PC which is on Windows XP. Previously face same issue on the Windows PC too

I think the later DM does more integrity checks on the data than it used to. Maybe your BB data is a little corrupt? Silly thing is RIM don't have any 'repair' utilities.
