Default BES and data plan

Please Login to Remove!

I am currently a T-Mobile customer with the Blackberry Enterprise Server plan. I am currently connected to a BES and have 2 additional internet email accounts synced to the phone as well. I am thinking about switching to Verizon. I see that they have different data plans and I am being told different information by each and every Verizon representative. Which Verizon data plan is comparable to T-Mobile's Blackberry Enterprise Server data plan?

Welcome to the forums.

If you want to be connected to your corporate BES you will NEED a Blackberry Enterprise data plan. The device MUST be provisioned for BES. I will forewarn you that the plans of Verizon do cost more than T-Mobile.

The $44.99 per month BlackBerry plan. (Not the $29.99 per month plan.)

Thank you! Does that plan include unlimited data and email? Internet email accounts as well as corporate? Thanks again!

I am currently using a Curve that IS connected to the BES right now. I am thinking of getting the Storm from Verizon. As far as I am aware, all the newer Blackberry devices are capable of connectikng to a BES with the right data plan. Thanks for your input!

Verizon for the unlimited BES data plan can be purchased with unlimited airtime as well for $129.99. Not too bad. Although since Sprint coverage is good where I am, I am saving more by going there. I just know if I call customer service, I may have to educate them a little!

Wirelessly posted (BB 8830)

I have sprint with an 8830 on a BES. Two things about their plans.

1 if you get the 99.00 unlimited plan it does not include using the bb as a modem and it does not include being able to connect your bb to a BES.

Its the reasons why I'm still on a standred plan.

The BES add on for Sprint is $20. So, $119.99 gets you unlimited everything except tethering. but if you download their software, it works for tethering even though they don't sell it as an option. I'm using it very rarely for small amounts of data.

So far, no. I use very sparingly for small amounts of data. Mostly when I don't know of a nearby hotspot.
