Default OS 4.5 and FLV files

Will the new media player work with FLV files (since it plays the YouTube files)? I used to convert them to MPEGs, but this would be easier. Thanks!

I meant that if I save a YouTube file it is stored as an FLV file, but the player won't recognize it. Then how does OS4.5 play the YouTube file from the web? Is it converted as part of the play process?

I think perhaps the browser got flash support, but the media player didn't?

That doesn't make complete sense because the browser invokes the media player when playing the YouTube video.

I tried transfering my flv "youtube" files to my device, too, but it won't detect the file (came out nothing transfered on my media card). I decided to use a converter from .flv to .avi, then transfered .avi to my device. It worked fine with me.

I used to use a converter too. But that was before the media player could accomodate YouTube. I thought that you might be able to play uncoverted FLV files now. Hmmm...wonder what it does behind the scenes?
