I once ordered one of these (at a big discount). This was all about 2 years ago. I love these tiny subnotebooks, and the Sony is a great one from my demos of it.

However, after 2 months I gave up cancelled the order, and got a full refund (whew!). And got a used Dell Inspiron 600m. A massive heavy brick in comparision, but a lot cheaper and purchased used off eBay (easily nearly half the price).

My next laptop is probably one of the tiny models -- though it may be the Dell Inspiron 700m which is almost as small as the Sony and yet still has everything yet much cheaper than the Sony (was, at its time, anyway), and much easier to fix with replacement parts more readily available (Sony warranty is a pain to deal with). In fact, I repaired my laptop with Dell laptop disassembly manuals I obtained directly from Dell's web site -- try that with a Sony. (As dreamy and lovely the TR series are!)

That's just it, I have a "17 Apple PowerBook and don't get me wrong its excellent. Feature, functions, screen, power etc. but for travel purpose its just to much to bring along. Any idea where I can get my hands on one? Sony TR that is? I've searched everywhere with little luck, Best Buy, Future Shop etc. but nothing. I know it was replaced by the T series but I like the camera of the TR. I have seen them floating around on eBay but work won't go down that road for hardware purchases. I'm open to options?
