Default Can you just get a new 2-year contract in the middle of a previous contract?

I want to get a storm for $200 instead of $500. Can I just re-up my contract right now, and pick up the storm for the 2-year contract price of $200? That thing is not worth $500!

Not that I know of with VZW. With certain plans you can upgrade once a year for the new subscriber price.

It depends on how far into your contract you are. I'm 14 months into my 2 year contract and will be able to get the 2 year contract price by extending my contract.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

There seems to be some latitude depending on how long you are a customer and the type of plan. All of a sudden I am eligible to upgrade when maybe I should not be. In a bad economy in this competitive environment, you may be able to deal depending on your situation.

Really?????? I'm also 14 months into a 2 year contract and Verizon will NOT allow me to upgrade at the 2 year price. All they could for me was offer the 1 year price. What plan are you on?

I was told it would be about $320ish, she couldn't give me a direct price except that it would be $75 more then 2 year pricing.
