Default How to disable password

Please Login to Remove!

I got a bold today with password protected. I know the password but unlocking just bothers me. Try to disable it under "options"-->"password", but just can't change the setting to "disable", looks like there is no this option. Any one can help please? Much appreciated.

Are you on BES with your company. If so it's not a good idea to disable the BB password.

Ok that answers a lot. It belonged to a company that has security policies on it. Without getting into the source of the phone I will provide you a link to remove the restrictions:

It doesn't work on my bold. Password still there and change the setting to disable either.

If BES has locked the setting so that you cannot change it you will see a little red lock beside the option. Do you see this little red lock beside the option? If not there are also old security policies that need to be wiped from the device. The link posted before should remove the option. I would also try upgrading to the latest firmware to see if this also enables the item to have a different setting.
