Or even better, if you have EDGE or EVDO, put your pics on Flickr, then view them with JiveSlide. Very cool and doesn't fill precious memory!

Default Incoming MMS on BB

It amazes me that even though there there is an application called Pictures, the BB does not support MMS messages. Not sure, why but Cingular and BB said more reseach needs to be done. ah ok...

I say it's an OK tool. To get the pictures to the desktop of the device, however, requires email access. That's not very convenient. What a pain the lockdown on so many features is.

The BB is a great tool even without 'net service... but it creates some astounding limitations.

You know, that's the FIRST thing I noticed about the Blackberry. What's up with that? Great product, great tool. What works works well. But there are so many fuctions that are deliberately limited, turned off, or just plain not implemented.

Hello,

Somebody please correct me if I am wrong or maybe misunderstand. My unit does support MMS messages. I can receive and send them.

the thing i do to get images to my phone, is to just send them to my email address and just save the photo attachment... i have the 7130e w/verizon, so i am not sure that all the rest of them accept the attachments the same....

you are probably emailing them, which is not MMS. MMS is like an expanded SMS but that can include sounds, images, and text.

the Sony t610 has a brilliant MMS implementation.

Default image transfer help?

I am able to transfer images, but need to be able to open all images at same time instead of opening each attachment seperately. For medical use.

I think this is due to greed. If RIM really wanted to make the BB top drawer they could open up the OS and API to the world and let everyone hack away. Greed comes in as it would steal revenue from the providers (like T-Mobile) that want to charge for ringtones, skins, and every silly little thing that ought to be free to subscribers.

Yes because the hard work of others ought to be free right?
