Default Accelerometer - Potential Issue w/ pouch??

Please Login to Remove!

Since the Verizon Storm did not come with a pouch, I simply placed it in the pouch that I had with me for the 8830. It fit real well and put the Storm to sleep when inserted. Upon seeing this, the Verizon manager cautioned me not to use it because the magnet wreaks havoc to the accelerometer. He said the IPhone had similiar problems that was traced back to the magnet on the holster.
Can anyone affirm the Verizon manager's statement?

Default I'd like to know, too

Got my Storm yesterday afternoon and have also been using my 8830 case since it's a perfect fit. This is the first I have heard about this.

If the magnet in the pouch harms the storm then why did RIM allowed for holster mode? I think he was trying to sell you something.
