What about the Bold? Would that require a special service from the carrier?

8330 that's the "Curve" one of the newer BB, full KB, MP3 player too (IIRC) smaller than the other 2, thats about it right?

All will recieve e-mails form her work, provided they are set up correctly. It really comes down to what other features she is interested in. The 8707 and 8830 don't have a camera, the 8830 and 8330 have slots for media cards, the 8330 is a bit smaller. Are there specifc features she is interested in?

The Bold is only availible in GSM right now- a different technology than Verizon's CDMA- you would need to switch carriers to use a Bold.

I guess the curve sounds pefect..

Is it true the Pearl has been known to delete emails when the memory gets low? I guess you have to back them up, DL them to your desk top nightly, so if they go missing?

Thanks for your help

No, it's not garbage. It's all personal preferences. Many people have and love the pearl. Just a different form factor, with a suretype keyboard and smaller screen. Still a good device.
