Default Error Backing Up Databases

Please Login to Remove!

Everytime I try to backup my BlackBerry 9530 (Storm) I get an error when in transfer in progress it goes to the Handheld Agent step it pops an error on the screen that says "Error backing up database(s). It's never done this before, and I'm not sure why its doing it now. Happening to anyone else? Is there a soulution?

Only thing I can suggest (as I've had this happen) is to delete the Browser Data Cache off of the BlackBerry.

In DM, go into Backup/Restore; select Advanced and clear the Browser Data Cache on the BB.

Hopefully that will fix the backups issue.

Best I've come up with when I ran into this problem was to do a manual backup, one database at a time. Eventually you find the corrupted database(s) when you try to back it up and fail. For me it was the LBS database. I deleted it & reinstalled bb maps and I was able to do a 'normal' backup.

I don't get an error but everytime I back up it removes my web browser and I have to go back in phone and push it back from the advance setting thing. Weird!

That tip worked like a treat. If I knew sooner I would have been happier. But I had to reinstall DM 2 times, and the install seems to take FOREVER!

Now it's all fixed!

This trick worked until it came time to backup the onboard device memory; I get an unknown error when it is just about completed. Any ideas or solutions?

AWESOME! Thank you so much for the help and in general, thank you to the entire forum for making this easy to (a) research; and (b) find an answer!
