Is there a quick key lock for the Curve 8320(tmo)? The motorolas are so nice to use bkz you just hold the pound button for a few seconds and it locks, does the berry have that too? I already tried several buttons- but nothing. I now it has the setting once you go into the menu, but is there a faster way?

On the top left is the mute button, press and hold until it says entering standbye mode. If the phone rings you can answer as usual but if you ignore it, it will stay with the keys disabled until you press the mute button again.

Wirelessly posted (8330 Curve)

I set one of the quick keys on the side of my 8330 to do it. You may be able to do that too.

To use the "k" key as akosnitzky mentions, dialing from the home screen has to be turned off. I think by default it is on.

Get into the phone app (green key), blackberry key to get into options, select Options>General Options. Then set Dial from Home Screen to "No".

There are a lot of shortcut keys from the main screen. For some reason they don't seem to be in the FAQ. But just try the keys to see what shows up. A for Address book, B for Browser, etc.

Try K from the home screen and that will give you a keypad lock, if like above noted you have dial from home screen off. Dunno if there is a key to do it with dial from home screen on.
