I just went to try to and download the BB mesenger and it is telling me my blackberry does not meet the system requirements for versions 4.0 and 4.1

What does this mean?

It usually means that by default, BB Messenger is already installed on OSs newer than 4.1. Did you check to see that you do not already have it on your bold? (Unless someone removed it, it will already be there)
