Default 8350i GPS problems

When I try to plan a route in the telenav GPS program, it always tells me I have a weak GPS signal whether I am in an urban district or standing in an open field. Is there a way to strengthen the signal or is this feature screwed up?

Be sure your date/time is in sync with the network time and save changes. The date/time helps the phone to triangulate off the cell towers as well as the GPS for a faster fix on your position.
Also, run the refresh GPS under advanced options so your phone has an idea of where you are in the world.
The GPS was slow to run compared to my 7100i, but I think the more you use it on the 8350i, the better it will get.

I saved the time to network time and then tried refreshing the GPS under advanced options. It came back all zeros. I will try again later and in another area. Thanks for the tip.

I had the same problem. The way I got it to work was to set your origin. I set my origin to my physical location(address), set my destination and it worked almost instantly. This is an extra step, as you would think the GPS could figure out your orgin for you. It works great after that.

I used mine the other day just to try it out. It took just a little while to get the signal, but then handled a 100 mile drive with no problem.

How do you do that. I have tried refreshing my location but have not been able to get any signal regardless of where I am locale wise. I have also not been able to use the Telenav feature of the phone since I've had it. The phone will scan for satellites and has never found any. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Mine worked fine tonight after I removed the battery, waited 1 minute, then fired it back up. Drove 120 miles with flawless execution. Wonder if it will work in the morning??? Probably not.
