Do have a media card in your BlackBerry?

Also you might want to try Options - Auto On/Off see if anything is enabled.

When it turns itself off/on does the LED turn red?

copy all data off media card, put card back in phone and format it through the phone. copy all data back onto card. some OS's are causing the phone to do this until the card is formatted.

peester31: no i do not have a media card in it. My phone turns off before i can go into any settings or do anything. can you think of anything else?

thank you much

SteveO86: Does it just constantly reboot?

peester31: Yes it constantly reboots!!! as we speak

SteveO86: Ouch.

Now I've never done this before this before but it might be your best bet.

http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.p...ng_Jl_Cmder%3F

That link will give you directions to completely wipe you deivce and re-install the OS from scratch everything (Calendar/Contacts/etc will be lost.)

I've never done it before, but there have been many forum members who have and do vouch by it. Before that you do it, could try and leave the battery disconnected for 10 minutes are so and then put it back in to see if that resolves it.

peester31: Thank You very Much, i will try this.
Just to keep this post updated, I went back and forth with a few private messages.

SteveO86:Darn, if the BlackBerryforums.com paghe load head to the BBFAQ part if the site, and find the FAQ on "wiping the device using JL_CMD"

peester31: ok i got it..but the installation process is asking me for a password that i dont have for the DESKTOP MANAGER registry. I think i am screwed ccause i do not have it...
To update this post again, we ran into a few more problems..

Seems he is getting prompted for a password when trying to reload his device JL_CMDer, anyone seen that before? (I never used JL CMDer before)

Peester-welcome to the forums.

A couple of questions-

Do you have your Blackberry password protected?

What version of Desktop Manager do you use currently?
