As I have been downloading MP3 ringtones for my Pearl from funtonia.com . It has become evident that they lack volume once played back on the Pearl. Looking for software that I can run them through and up the db a bit, etc.
Thanks for any suggestions...

I am trying to open up an Mp3 from funtonia in Audacity to increase the volume. Now all I need to do is figure out how to save my changes and DL to my BB Pearl...Cool program.

After you finish the editing, click on the file tab in the upper left corner of the screen. Then, click on either "save as wav", or "save as mp3" (I don't have the necessary software for saving as mp3, so I just save as a wave file). If you save it as a wave file, you'll probably want a program that'll convert it to a mp3 (they're smaller files). From there, just move or copy it from that location to you BB.
Edit: The software I have for converting is called "Switch" by NCH Software. It's also a free application. Been using it for a couple years without any problems. It works on a number of different formats.

I will give it try.

There's a .dll you can download off of the audacity website that allows you to simply save as .mp3. When trying to save as .mp3. it tells you the name of the .dll, so it's very easy to find.
Once you have it, all you have to do is browse for that .dll after clicking on 'save as .mp3' and audacity will remember where it is. Just make sure not to move the file somewhere else or delete it.
