Default Storm without problems!!

Please Login to Remove!

I have had the Storm for almost a month. I haven't had it replaced, can't find anything wrong with the touch screen. It has worked as I expected. Not as cool as my daughters I Phone, but it's more to my liking, and I live in ND and don't have ATT anyway! I do need to add a screen protector, cause I get lots of fingerprints on the screen. What's the hell is wrong with my phone!!???

Hellomoto, I couldn't agree with you more.

I just really love this phone for all it could be. I love the touch screen, email app, picture quality, and instant messenger capabilities. When RIM finally get's it together, I think this phone is going to be a masterpiece.

I am also looking forward to some of the third party apps that involve usage of the touch screen interface. I think this is going to be a fun toy in the long run.

I have had mine since November, and yesterday it started to act up. I now get an error message when I hit the dial key. 45> = 40

Took it to the Verizon store techs they did not know what it was. Two battery pulls and it is working. About an hour later it is back.

My first replacement arrives tomorrow.

I still love my storm

How many of you guys put a lot of non-RIM app's on your phones? I am not saying you shouldn't, but I have had mine since it came out but have no put any 3rd party app's on it, and have literally had no issues. The only issues I had came about when I tried out WeatherBug, and upon removing it, went back to normal. Maybe I am just lucky, but I have no idea how people can be going through 6 or 7 phones... That just seems odd to me.

Humm... I guess my little theory is probably way off base. Still, it seems really interesting that some people are going through so many phones while others are getting lucky on the first try... really makes me question the consistency of RIM's production techniques...

I also think some of it has to do with how tolerant you are with issues. My camera and video have froze up from time to time, and last night while playing Word Mole, it froze for a bit, but it's no reason for me to take mine back and get a replacement.

The only two problems i have with my Storm.. 1 is large amounts of dust under the screen... and 2 in cold weather conditions my screen will freeze causing the click to not work at all.. but once it hits room temp again its back to normal.. And my screen clicks awesomely!! I got mine on Nov. 28

Agreed. Sometimes mine freezes, but it usually unfreezes itself. If not, a battery pull is no big deal to me. Just the nature of the devices - my Curve also liked to freeze now and again, and my 8800 before that spontaneously rebooted itself into a mode where it wouldn't work, so I had to do battery pulls every few hours.

However, the dust under the screen would annoy me to death, so I don't really blame people for returning those... or the ones with hardware issues.

Well the dust for me isn't such a big deal that i can deal with.. But my actual screen freezing at cold temps is weird..
