Things I have noticed so far are the volume seems to now differentiate between low and medium...medium and high still sound the same as far as ringers. There was no noticeable difference to me in the camera speed. This are the few things I have found so far. (I upgraded from .152 to this .174)

I'm downloading .174 as I type this, but with .152 I had sporadic trouble with youtube, and with .168 only occasional trouble with youtube -- and a page reload generally fixed it. I never had to change the apn back to the old voicestream one, but stayed with the new one that's configured in the box as sold.
Hopefully I'll know how well youtube works with .174 in about half an hour...

One cannot post links to BlackBerry beta software.. but posting that they are available for download is perfectly acceptable.
BTW did I answer your question?

And there's various threads here that have pointed to megaupload links for a beta release. Every mod has a different take on it, and overall they just don't want the attention or traffic that those beta threads tend to attract.
That being said, 174 worked well for me for the few weeks I ran it. Pretty reliable with no real noticeable glitches.

There is a difference between low and medium, no real difference between medium and high still.

At 3:50pm, I've been using my 8900 for about 9.5 hours today, with bluetooth (45 mins and a couple of phone calls), several calls, web browsing, lots of email with large attachments (approx 100 480x360 wallpapers), UMA -- after 9.5 hours of this, the battery (with .174 installed) is down to 80%.
Best OS to date re: battery life.
