Unhappy Where should I put my HTML on the localhost for my MDS simulator to find?

Please Login to Remove!

Can't access internet pages through MDS simulator, would like to try with some local html first. Where should I put them?

Thank you, I'm having a hard time putting my environment together.

I access html files on my local drive by setting up a simple webapp on a tomcat server. Are you using a web container of some sort or are you trying to access the html file by simply browsing to it on your hard drive. If you use a webapp you would access it by typing in something such as http://<your.ip.address:8080>/webappname/some.htmlfile Where your.ip.address is of course your machines ip and 8080 is the listening port for your webapp. Webappname is the name of the webapp where your html file is.

thank you for your response.
Not using any webcontainer. Just installed the MDS on my laptop and thought would be able to access internet pages so I could use my server to host my sample pages.
Since I am not able to do that wanted to try something local. Do I need to install tomcat or something to do that?
thanks again

I think that's the case as the blackberry doesn't know about your local file system. Have you done tomcat before - If so its pretty easy to set up. Install tomcate and and the html files to an empty webapp and you should be good to go.

To access web pages on your local machine, you need to run a local web server such as IIS, Apache, etc. The MDS Simulator, while based on Tomcat, doesn't allow you to host web pages.
