Default Internet Radio In Canada?

Please Login to Remove!

OK, Pandora doesnt work. I decided, OK, no big deal, Ill use Slacker.
When I navigate to their site on my Pc I get this: "Unfortunately, Slacker Personal Radio is currently only available in the United States. While we are working to extend our licenses to other parts of the world, at this time we can only play music to our listeners within the United States".
So, is there ANY online radio options for Canadian users?

Thanks

I couldn't get Moodio to work for me but I know others have. Good luck.
As time progresses, there will be more apps covering wider areas.

Default These work in Canada

For internet radio in Canada look at Flycast. It works great and even let's you skip songs and iheartradio is also good and the best part is they are both free. I have been using them for a few months now on my Toronto Rogers Wireless network with no problems. Hope you like them.

Flycast shows you album covers and artist name and even lets you skip songs.
iheartradio is more like a radio, you can even dial up random stations (U.S stations only-No Canadian station)

Berrytunes is worth the (small amount) of $ it costs.

Also gets you streaming or downloaded (you choose) podcasts on your BB.

Most stable BB client I've found, period, for streaming internet radio or podcasts.

No, it couldnt be easier. I use both flycast and iheartradio. Let me know how it works for you. I know Bell and Telus are funny with what they allow to work.

I've added any number of stations to BerryTunes, if that's what you're referring to...below is how I add stations - don't know if there is a simpler way, but this works for me:

I do this from Firefox...not sure if it works from IE as well...

Using Firefox, go to Shoutcast (SHOUTcast | Free internet radio!) and search on your desired station's call letters.

In the Shoutcast search results, Right-Click on the "Tune In" button next to the station you want.

Select "copy link location" and then paste it into an email to myself, or into a Memo in outlook that I can sync to my BB, whatever process you want to get the link to the BB.

Do that for each radio station I want to add...

Send the email to myself, or sync the memo, whatever is appropriate.

Copy the links into the Add Station dialog.

That should work for you as well...

You can also right click on the Tune In button and save the PLS file and open it in a text editor to see what the specific URLs are for the streaming...

Open the .PLS file w/a text editor (e.g., Notepad) and you'll see something like the following (this is from the PLS for KQED in San Francisco):

Length1=-1
File2=http://205.234.249.144:80
Title2=(#2 - 478/2000) KQED Public Radio

You can take the URLs from above (e.g., h t t p ://205.234.249.144:80) and enter it in to the Add Station dialog in Berry Tunes (Open the Radiooption in Berry Tunes and then select "Add Station" from the menu.
