hi all this is my first post and is proberly the dumbest one you will read..

is there anyway that you can retreive deleted sms on the 8110 bb?

i know its a stupid question but i deleted a text with a number on that i need and cant get the number again as the person who sent it has gone away for a while.

Nope once you delete the message from the device you can no longer retrieve it.

This is something I have run into before. Now instead of deleting on the device, I leave everything there and do a regular backup. Once a backup is created, you can go back and view your SMS emails and other stuff using ABC blackberry software.

Most likely it may have not been his phone, maybe a wife or girlfriends phone.
