OK, now this is getting pretty frustrating. I've searched everywhere I can think and spend an hour or three with the ATT people, which was useless, and the RIM guys, which was no help.
I cant access some of the functions on the PLAY builtin app.
Im using a 16GB Sandisk card and a Plantronics 855 stereo BT headset, if that matters. Here is what I can't do
1. Adjust the volume on the device during playback.
2. Get the headset EQ and the audio boost functions to work. At all. Zero function.
There must be a way. Take pity on a poor pilot and please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

Well, the volume issue. Does it skip to the next track when you use the device? If so, that is by design (and takes getting used to). You have to tap the volume buttons, if you hold em down it won't adjust the volume, it will move back or forth to the next track.

The eq won't work with BT. It only functions on wired headphones.

edit: I thought some more about this one, in case I misunderstood what you're saying.

I have a Motorola S9 headset I use daily. If i adjust the volume on the headset, the handset is unaffected (the actual volume bars stay the same). In other words, I have 2 separate ways to adjust volume.
