Default problem upgrading BES from 4.1.0.38 to 4.1.6

Please Login to Remove!

I am currently running BES version 4.1.0.38 with Exchange 2003 which have been running with no issues for about 2 years.
I backed up my server completely by moving it to vmware ESX server.

I created a vmware snapshot of the current working 4.1.0.38 settings. This allows me to easily roll back if I ran into issues.

I went through and installed BES upgrade 4.1.6 multiple times and each time my blackberries are no longer receiving any emails.

The first time I upgraded to BES 4.1.6 then rebooted and then installed Service Pack 6, Maintenance release 4. After that I was not receiving emails.

I restored my server back to 4.1.0.38 and my blackberries are now receiving emails. I tried the BES 4.1.6 upgrade one more time without installing Service Pack 6, Maintenance release 4 and I also go the same results.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

David

Wirelessly posted (My blond BlackBerry)

Just to be sure, you're logged on as the service account when you're doing the upgrade, correct? And all necessary services are running?

Does email work if you upgrade to 4.1.6 without MR4?

Also, after you upgrade to 4.1.6, open the BES Manager and check the 'Last Contact' column. Are devices getting updated to close to current time?

Default Thank you

Thank you everyone. The issue was not logging on as the service account. Now my BES is current and those HTML emails are really nice.
