I hear the Bold support flash, is that true. If so how good is it?

There's no Flash support on the Bold or any BlackBerry for that matter.

I think that it can support flash like there is a capability in the device (like the hardware is there), but at this time RIM has not given any support for it.

This is true. The cpu will have no problem with flash. However, being that it was until recently, a business device, there was never a need for it

The Web is flash enabled, youtube has proved that flash video is it. Once people go video they dont' go back. CNET, Gamespot, ZDNet all have flash videos for content review now becasue why read when you can see a nearly free to make flash video....

Reading Cnet and ZDnet are business related (and gamespot if you work in the gaming industry, so I'm imagine it's just a matter of time.

This may not be the case, unfortunately. According to Anup Murarka, Director of Technical Marketing Mobile and Devices at Adobe, "the big problem is the use of Java as the core development platform for the BlackBerry. "We are not going to be able to get Flash running under Java," he said, noting that the multiple layers of code interpretation that would require (Flash converted to Java converted to BlackBerry device code) impose a performance burden that can't readily be overcome."

yes. this is true. however, i personally feel that with the consumer marketing growing on the berry, i feel they will support flash in the future. and i think that because of the java limitations, i am willing to bet that RIM will be releasing something built in the browser, rather than having it be a seperate java app. i guesss we will see
