I have a blackberry user in Uk which will be connecting to BES in US.
I've created email address for him and a password. When he tries to activate the process doens't go through. It's also asking using for "blackberry server address" but I told to leave this field blank.
What else am I missing?
What happens when he tries to activate? Does it give an error? If so, at what point? Is the device provisioned for enterprise access?

Yes, that's what I am referring to. You will need that in order to activate the device on the BES.

you can check if its proviosned correctly if you do the following.
enterprise activate an account you can access!
get him to go through the wireless activation on the device you can use hotmail gmail anything that hasnt got harsh spam filters. use a random password say abc (it doesnt matter)
go into the mail account (via your PC) and look for the etp.dat message..
if you get that you can rule out the below. go straight to .2
1.
O2 are notorious for incorrect provisioning, get through to someone and get them to check on the "BlackBerry tools" screen (internal system) get them to check on that if its correctly provisioned. they always check O2 system but that doesnt mean jack if its not sorted on tools/BlackBerry infrastructure,.
thats expensive for BES!!! Tmob its like £10!!
2.
just thought, i have had this previously...
if the mail server is somewhere else ie UK...
the etp.dat message times out before it even gets to the users mailbox.
if theres a hug amount of delay you may have this problem.
