Default Losing my data connection.

Please Login to Remove!

Sorry but I do not know if a similar thread have been posted previously. If so, please direct me to it.

Currently, I am using the 8900 and I keep losing my data connection (from EDGE to edge). When this occurs I have to perform a battery pull to get my connection back but this is only a temporary solution because I lose my connection again after a few hours. What I have noticed is that when I have my wifi on then I lose the connection. When I have wifi off then I have my capital EDGE and never lose it.

I called Rogers to try to resolve the issue and after 3 tries, they exchanged my phone for a new one and it still occurs. Right now I keep my wifi off to not risk losing my data connection.

To me, there is no point of having a phone with wifi capabilities when it has to be turned on and scanned everytime in order to use wifi. I rather have the flexibility of it detecting and connecting to wifi when it is available. What I want to know is if anyone have had this problem and how did they rectify it? Anyone?

Thanks!

Are you in an area with a good signal, 3 bars or more?

Does it happen no matter where you are or just in one specific place/area?

I Have This Problem Sometimes (My Firmware Version Is 4.6.1.133) Instead of Doing a Battery Pull I Just Disable The Mobile Network In Manage Connections And Then Simply Re-Enable It. Saves a Bit More Time Than a Battery Pull But Still It's No Solution.
