1st - while the device is on - do a battery pull. This will reboot your phone, shut down all applications and free up some memory.
2nd - When shutting down applications - use the BB Menu button then scroll down to "close" and clcik on that. Using the red "end" button will close an application but not shut it down and it will continue to run in the background.
I just starting having the same problem in the last week. The battery drains incredibly quickly even after I go in and manually close all app. I did recently add the BB app store to my phone, and downloaded WSJ app (which I keep shut down because I know it drains constantly), Pandora and Shazam (none of which I open either).
Is it one of the apps? Is there a new bug causing this drain?
I don't know if it's connected, but when trying to use the BB after locking the screen, the BB tends to freeze and is unresponsive for 10-15 seconds when I try to use it again.
So I'm guessing there IS something constantly working in the background?
