Hello, I´m a noob 2 the BB world so please be patient with me

I got a BB 8310 in the US and brought it home with me to Colombia. It worked fine for the first week but now everytime I turn it on it reads "Device Error: 317" and I can´t get past that. I´ve read elsewhere that maybe downgrading the OS will fix the problem but I don´t even know how to do that.

Have you tried pulling the battery for about 30 seconds with the device powered on? Always a good first step...

To Ndub33: i tried hard reseting it but it keeps coming up with the same error
To Trimix: I´m not sure what version I´m running, I cant get into the OS, all I get is the error message.

To ndub33: OK I tried wiping but JL Cmder never connected to the BB, I also did the reinstall steps with no success. When I try to reinstall I get a message "You can´t reconnect the device during a loading operation..." and I still get the Device Error: 317.

Yep I tried that 2 daphne, with no luck.. still getting the same Error Message. Any ideas?

I found an user has the same problem too.

thanx for that datl, i tried it but it didnt work either.. it seems its for a different model: 8100 mine is 8300
