Default Facebook Pictures in Contacts

Please Login to Remove!

I recently got a replacement BB Curve 8330 and I installed the Facebook program. All of a sudden, when I get an email or a call from someone in my contacts who is also a friend of mine on Facebook, their facebook picture comes up on my phone. I do not want this. It never happened before when I had my old BB curve. I deleted the facebook application from my phone but that did not solve the problem. I dont want their pictures. HELP!

Unfortunately that's how integrated the facebook app is with your BlackBerry. My girlfriend showed that feature to me just this morning (interestingly enough).

I'm suggesting that you reinstall the facebook app and see if their is an option to turn this feature off. My girlfriend is not here to check.

You can also try deleting the contact and recreate it and then see if the pictures still come back.

Wirelessly posted (Bold 9000)

I wasnt too impressed with the new Facebook app so I uninstall it and spent a few good hours deleting every picture manually.

I seem to recall the option when setting up the app.

Open the Facebook app. Click Menu>Options. Scroll down and uncheck BlackBerry Contacts from the Connect With option.

But you will still have to clean out the pictures manually. The FB app sticks 'em in your address book and breaking the connection with the FB app will prevent them from being updated from FB, but it will not clear out the pictures that have already been synched...
