My advice to you is to leave it alone. It is a company phone with a company policy on it. There are ways to remove the policy, but I am not going to tell you how. If you value your job, I would not even attempt to research how to remove it.
Furthermore, if you do remove it, you will break connection to your BES and lose all email and PIM sync. When you get reactivated the policy will be pushed back. It really isn't worth it. I am sure they have a reason they disabled it. Your best bet would be to discuss this with your BES admin.
