Hello all,

I have recently upgraded to BB Desktop Manager 4.7 on my laptop (running on Windows XP Pro), and now I cannot sync my BB calendar with my Outlook 2003 calendar -- when I sync, the Calender just gets completely skipped over (i.e. the sync starts with Address Book items).

I have double-checked the configuration settings for the sync -- it points to my Outlook calendar, and is set up to do a one-way sync from Desktop to Device (temporarily, until I can get this issue resolved).

In the past, I have had this problem, because the Facebook app service book hijacks my calendar; to eliminate this potential cause, I have uninstalled the Facebook app, restarted the BB, and I'm still having the same issue.

I have also tried clearing out the Calendar data on the BB using the Advanced button on the Backup/Restore screen on the BB Desktop Manager; it successfully wipes out all the calendar data on my BB, but when I try to sync again, I get the same result.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Resend service books?

Go back to the older version of DM?

Dubdub, thanks for the suggestions. I neglected to mention that I had tried a battery pull, but I forgot about trying to resend my service books. I did that, and it looks like the calendar sync is working again. Thanks!!

EDIT: ok. I see above post. Resending service books fixed the sync problem? Can't argue with success.

Check default services in advanced options, make sure calendar and messaging are set to the same email address.

Aburdink....I could not sync Outlook 2003 w/ my 8330, either. I was told here that it was incompatible. NOTE: I am new to blackberry myself so others may have a better answer. I did eventually get Outlook 2007 to get it to work. Good luck.

Ira, I'm glad you didn't fully edit your post, thanks. I had the same exact problem did the same exact things, including resending the service books and still had the same issue.
But I did not check default services > calendar & messaging. Facebook was the culprit. I suspect with the new f/b upgrade recently released others will have the same problem. Facebook now has a feature to sync your events onto you BB. It didn't even cross my mind to look into that.
So, Kudos to you.
