Default Emails Deleting Automatically

Please Login to Remove!

I have a wierd one.

Curve 8900 running POP email and using Rogers BIS.

I will get an email early on in the day, but then it will delete itself off the Handheld before the night is over. The sent messages stay, but any Emails coming in are gone.

I have the Keep Messages set to Forever.

I have 3 email accounts on my BB, and all of them disappear.

Please help,
goplanit

What is your file free in Options > Status?

Are call logs and SMS messages also being deleted? Sounds like lack of available memory, which I think jsconyers thread is getting at.
If you don't have much available memory, try removing unused applications (Menu > options > Advanced Options > Applications) and changing your mail settings to remove mail after a certain period as this will take up a lot of the memory. Also, check that photos are saved to the memory card instead of the device memory.

I don't think it's a memory thing.

No, just Email Messages.

All SMS and MMS are still there.

That's wierd. It's not memory. You may have to check you POP server settings but if that's full you usually won't get the email at all. I'd call Rogers if you can't find a setting on the BB to change.

no. if u read the thread, it has nothing to do with memory...

it sounds like there is a setting on the bb that needs to be changed.

does this happen all the time? are there alot of messages saved on ur phone? im thinking there might be a email limit on the device that we were unaware of

My guess is that Rogers BIS is using IMAP, not POP, to retrieve your messages and your computer is then downloading the messages via POP and delting them off of the server, this will then have the IMAP interface delete the email off of your blackberry.
This is the way it is for me, though I use IMAP at home as well to get my Rogers.

Your Outlook might be deleting the emails from the server after it's retrieved. Check your Outlook settings.
