Default How to free internal memory

Please Login to Remove!

I just got off the phone with a tech at Verizon. My problem is that I supposedly do not have enough memory to download a file bigger than 2.9 megabyte on my phone (in a pdf format). If I chose to just open the file it will open, if I chose to download it will not allow me to do that. The tech states that I must do a hard wipe on the phone and reinstall all applications. Just an FYI, I did a hard wipe just last week. I think that this is absurd that I would have to continualy have to hard wipe my phone and reinstall every time the internal memory gets full from downloading pdf files. Any help here would be appreciated! Is this tech correct in what he says?

You can't download any file greater than 2.86mb to the internal device memory. That can't be changed.

Download the file to the microSD memory card.

forgive my ignorance, but how do I do that? I do not see an option to download to media card. Is there somewhere where I have to set this option?

When you connect your BB to your PC, it will show the media card as removable drive.

If it does NOT, then go into

Options / Memory and change Auto Enable Mass Storage... to Prompt

Then you can copy files directly to the media card.
