You don't like the pocket option?

I don't want to hijack the thread. I will only say for me the pocket was with the rubber skin was the only that worked for me. Good luck

Not sure what it is called but I have the a clear hard case sold at the TMO stores for $9.00 that is great. It has a clip option that can be removed.

Default i love the fortte case.

I bought one a couple years back for my 8700. The 8300 fit in the case okay, but this 8900 was too thin.

So I bought another fortte case for the 8900 - same mode, vertical with the snap lock strap on the top. I wear shorts that have a cell pocket and the case works fine in that. The snap lock makes me feel secure it won't fall out while biking or be yanked out by my 4 year old without me knowing about it.

Has all the cut outs to charge while in the case (another reason why i had to switch from the 8700 case) and puts the berry to sleep in the holster fine.

Very satisfied.

Do you absolutely need/want a case?

I ask this because if it's just the screen you're worried about protecting there are some great plastic screen/shield protectors that you can buy for cheap to cover and protect the screen from being scratched... That's what I use....
