Default GPS navigator

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

I got a BB storm 9500 and I was wondering which GPS navigator is the best one. From what I read a good one should be nav4all, please notice that I need it mostly for Mexico.

You think it is good enough? any suggestions?

Thanks

Only you can decide what is best for you. What are your requirements? Do you have a BB data plan? Do you need voice directions? Do you need auto reroute?

Read the sticky at the top of the GPS and Maps section. There is a review of most, if not all, of the BB map applications.

Hi,

thanks for your replys.

The answer to the 3 questions is yes.

I see that Telenav and Gokivo are the most popular.

These 2 are the most complete ones in your opinion?
Also remember that they must include Mexico maps
Thanks

One last thing:

I live in Colombia and I see that these navigators ask you for the carrier you are using; why is that? If I use a colombian carrier it means I can't use telenav?

Can someone please explain?

Thanks

Telenav is billed to your carrier account. I guess there has to be an agreement between Telenav and your carrier to make that work.

Check out Nav4All, it may cover you. Or perhaps Garmin does, plus there is no monthly fee for Garmin. I prefer Telenav to Garmin, but Garmin is much cheaper in the liong run.

Unless you're billed directly by them. I'm not sure what the options are for GPS apps the cover Colombia & Mexico. You'd have to do some research with the makers of whatever GPS apps you're considering.

I have been messing around with Nav4All. It seems half finished and not very intuitive. But it does work and it is linked somehow to the nav4all website so you can have some kind of sync between the handset and website. I am not sure how it works since I sort of lost patience with it. I am not the geek I once was, willing to mess around with hardware and software to make it work - I want it to Just Work. Garmin and Telenav Just Work. I don't know if Telenav has maps of Mexico or not.
