Default Blackberry & MS Exchange

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys

Hopefully someone can help me or point me the right direction.
I got a couple of users on blackberry's with MS exchange 2003/2007 and they are complaining that when they move a email from their inbox to a subfolder of the inbox, it then disappears off the blackberry. If they need to go back for reference later on the blackberry then that cannot find that email.
Also they are not enjoying the whole read/unread , when quickly viewing a message on the blackberry, then we access there Outlook, those messages are set as read.
Any ideas on how to change these settings.
Blackberry's range from 8310 - Bold 9000

Thanks in advance.

Those settings are I believe how it is supposed to work.

This is because you have not set up those subfolders for Redirection.
On the device:
Messages > Options > Email Settings > {click menu button} > Folder Redirection

Expand the folder list for [Desktop] and select any/all folders you wish to be redirected to the handheld.

As for read/unread, are they kidding?! If you open an email and even *glance* at it, well then it's "read". So of course it then shows as "read" in Outlook. You can turn off wireless reconciliation completely, but then you get NO reconciliation services at all. Bottom line is that the users need to be a little smarter.

It sounds look they also want this turned off:

Messages / Options / General Options / Hide Files Messages

Likely it's on YES so change to NO.
