I have been trying to get documents to go to work all day and can't. I've been searching multiple forums and have run out of patience. I registered and activated the standard edition of documents to go. I upgraded it. I've checked options/applications for the attachment service and documents to go. They are both there. I cannot open either word documents or xls docs created in office 2000. When I try to open from email attachment I get the error message "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device" When I try to open a document from within the App I cannot see the document in the folder although I know it is there because I can see from windows explorer when attached to my computer. I have run out of ideas. Can anyone help me please?

Can you open a Word Doc in an email. If not hook your BB up to your PC and make sure you have the attacment services on your BB by using the DM.

When I connect to DM and go to the application loader/add/remove there is a list of apps. Documents to go, Repligo Reader and Yellowpages.com. I have explored every other tab and function in DM and cannot find any way to verify or load attachment services. Am I missing something? I am very new to BB so in the future, please explain step by step how to check these things.

I just sent myself a pdf file. I can open the attachment in a different app - Repligo Reader. I can also open JPG's. Sounds to me like the attachment service works.

Maybe its an office 2000 issue, try using a newer version of office if u can

Running Vista 64 and as you can see there are no device folders. I've done a search on the pc for even hidden and system files and found no .alx files for desktop manager.. Thats the link of my commonfiles rim folder.

This issue happens to me with Doc 2 Go and Facebook.

New Blackberry user 8220 with t-mobil. Windows XP and Office 2000 on my PC. I made this work.
1. Used USB connection to connect to PC (do not have internet on cell)
2 When ask on cell "Do you want to open mass..." say yes
3 Opened excel document and saved to Blackberry Document (save to: select device Blackberry, Documents))
4. disconnected cell and opened document on Blackberry
I have not tried to edit on blackberry but cann access spreadsheet
