Thumbs up New BlackBerry 8700c Review in barJOHN Reviews It!

Please Login to Remove!

I have just completed my initial review of the new 8700c. I welcome feedback and constructive critisism. It is also available to anyone wanting my unbiased view. I usually would wait a little longer before posting but this one has earned my review early. Enjoy,

Nice.
I like how you incorporated user experiences from the forum posts in your review. Maybe someone (in the position to do something about it) from RIM or Cingular will read the Conclusions section and help us resolve some issues.
Thanks.

If you want to call yourself a carpenter you'll need a good hammer. If you want to call yourself a musician you'll need a tuning fork. If you want to call yourself a writer you'll need a dictionary.

Great review BarJohn, thanks. I am sure this will help people make up their mind about purchasing the 8700.

"Critisism" to be critical of, etc. It checks in the spell checker and thesarus on MS Word. I am not always the best speller but I am generally considered to be a good writer. I am actually a better manager with my teams usually out performing the other teams in our department. I run one division of the 4 in our department (in the Navy, a department is hgiher than a division...go figure..).

Did you mean "Criticism"?
"Critisism" is not a word. See MS Word spell check, Google, MWOL Dictionary, Dictionary.com, etc.

There are a few punctuation errors, most involving missing commas, in the first paragraph alone. I use "The Elements of Style" by Strunk & White as a writing and grammar guide and highly recommend it.

Nitpicks aside, your review is very comprehensive. Thank you.

Default Removal from holster

John:

Thanks for the excellent review!

You say in the review: "Once you learn the trick to removing a BlackBerry from the holster you wonder why no one else does it that way."

Missed that trick. What is it?

Place your finger tips against the back of the device with your thumbs over the top and pull up with a swiping motion. Comes out right in your hand and much easier than trying to grab the edges and pull up.

Thanks for your time for a great review. Which model/year Lexus do you have? I have a 2006 GS 300 and my prior Moto V600 had great handsfree sound quality.

The Lexus is a 2005 RX330 and the BMW is a 2006 325i. I don't think there is any comparison between the two systems for sound quality or usability even with i-Drive.
