Default Contacts Wireless Synchronization: Not Available

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I have a 8310 connected to the BES.
I don't know why the Contact Wireless Synchronization is Not Available and I don't have other option to choose.
The rest of the applications sync successfully.

Somebody can help me ?

Thanks
Fabian

You BES Adminitsrators may not allow this. Have you contacted them?

Go to your user properties. Then look in the "PIM Sync" field. You should be able to see is address book syncing is enabled or not. If it isn't then enable it, if it is already then delete your "desktop sync" service book on your blackberry and it should resync itself.

I have the same problem as the OP on my 9630 (worked fine on my 8830). I removed the 'desktop sync' service book and then waited a few hours. It didn't resync itself, but I still receive my email messages and calendar events just fine. I tried pushing the service books back out to the phone and also no change.

Anything else to check? I'm sure the OP may say the samething.

Ok, I also just fixed my problem but removing the 'desktop sync' service book didn't work. I had to connect my phone to the computer and push out the service books again, basically re-activating my phone (the 'desktop sync' service book never came back after pushing everything out). After it was done, I then had the wireless synchronization options available in my Contacts and Notes, where as before they were grayed out. So that's another thing to try if anyone else runs into this problem in the future.
