Default MS Exchange 2003 SP2 Beta with DPT

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone out there tested the MS exchange 2003 SP2 beta with a mobile 5.0 device?

MS has been talking a lot about it, but i havent heard much from people beta testing.

Is there any word on how it compares to running RIM devices and BES servers?

cheaper , less featues, less encryption , less management

There is a doc on microsoft describing the new feature set, MS problem always been the devices and most likely still will be , there are just to many bad devices around , the 3-4 diff mobile 5 devices i have is running way better than pocketpc2003

RIM is untoutchable in the enterprise/financial/us market but in lesser dominated markets(regions and SMB i think they will need to think about their pricing/feature sets.

alot just need mail and honestly dont care about super duper jedi encryption , what they care about is the ability to get mail and use TomTom or whatever app they normally use.

Anyways before this turns into a religion war im off :D

Thanks.

I am surprised that you are the only one familiar with the upgrade. I had expected that some companies would run both RIM and MS mobile 5 devices - depending on user preference.

Additionally, my understanding is that the MSFP will be released on a per-service provider/per device type basis; meaning that it won't be Microsoft per se that releases it. It will be your service provider.

I am not holding my breath on this. I seriously think this is the MS Marketing machine at its finest.
