Default Emails containing signed digital signature are not delivered

Please Login to Remove!

My company recently upgraded the Exchange server from 2003 to 2007 with BES 4.1 installed on another service with MSDE. After the migration, we are unable to receive emails containing signed digital signature (certificate) from clients. The signed messages can be viewed in Outlook but they are not delivered to BlackBerry. Has anyone seen this before? Any solution is truly appreciated.

do you have S/MIME support on the device? if not, load it via desktop manager.

Thanks for your reply. We just enabled S/MIME on BES and installed S/MIME package onto devices and messages are coming!! However, when we try to open the message, we got this error:

"This S/MIME message is formatted using an encoding that is not supported by this device"

Do you have any clue?

did you download the certificate on the device? use certifiacte search to query for LDAP server or use dekstop manager to synch cert.

It's weird, I don't get any sub-menu like fetch certificate or other choices when I am inside the message content. We are using BES 4.1 with Exchange 4.1, do we have to enable the Exchange LDAP for it? Additionally, how do I use desktop manager to sync certs? I don't see this icon or option when I fired up my Desktop Manager. Thanks.

it's not off the mail settings area. certificate search should be an icon off the main menu with s/mime loaded on the device now. as far as the desktop manager, i don't use that method personally, but i believe you may have to re-install the DM and specify a custom install. during the custom install process, you should have options for cert synch tool. then it should just be a big icon off the main menu of DM.

and what is Exchange 4.1?!?! yikes! i know...typo.
