If you have OS 4.5 or higher, it should work.

8300 != 8330. Two different devices, but what jsconyers said is spot on (as usual). Just need OS 4.5 or higher to use it.

Its says I have to dload app world to use it but apparently I did and i tied but said I still need memory...how do I go about not dl'ing AP world but messenger?

Interesting how many different download links there are. That's the 3rd I've seen.

I'm just glad there is a download available outside of AppWorld. I don't like having that piece of bloatware installed on my device.

A new browser icon suddenly appeared yesterday on my home screen, which was the new BB IM 5.0 download. I clicked it, downloaded it and it was up and running within a few minutes. Works perfectly, albeit a bit slow sometimes while the other person is typing.

Geez, im in a mess now. I have BB Curve 8330, with 4.5 OS version. I have BB World APP. a few weeks ago I downloaded a beta version 5.0 BB Messenger from a website. it was working good but cant open pictures. 5.0 release is still not a great option for the Curve. I type way faster than the IM can handle and with 5.0, it loses characters whereas with 4.x, it was never an issue, not to mention the nasty delays and speed bumps on 5.0. I think it's time to downgrade.

I have 8300 curve and some1 told me the new BBM is awesome , when i installed the new one first it didnt allow me to accept the T&C then again i tried it did and then it wont allow me to enter the profile or options eventually all got sorted and now i just cant send any message or start a conversation ...
I dont think the new BBm is perfect for 8300 ...
gonna reload 4.x

the download page came right up, it works great on my 8330 and is sooo much better than the old one.

No crashes? What about this speed thing? Is that all networks or just some? Those are my only concerns..had a few family members claim the bbm 5.0 crashed their phone (AND they're not experienced enough to do a backup before trying new things). But the delays concern me. I can deal with a second or two..but not a huge lag.
