Question 7100i Nextel problems phone and DC

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone had problems with there 7100i when placing a phone call or DC it won't go through and you have full signal?? Mine will stay that way no matter how many calls or DC I make I have to power down and turn back on and it is fine after that.
Another problem I have is in DC I can't hear the other parties voice I can hear the chirp and see them on the screen but no voice power down and that fixes it.

One of the two happens once a day during the week.

Only phone call problems I seem to have is me ending a call, it gets placed on hold and dials a second line to the same number. I have no DC problems other then I think the sound seems a bit lower for DC.

I've had neither problem....? I had to swap out one in under a week for what I thought (and still think is a defective screen even with the new one) and was worried that I would have more problems, but so far so good.

No, I have not seen these weird bugs, errors, etc.

sometimes even after ending a DC conversation, it won't let me place another call or DC. I found out that during that time (maybe 1-5 mins), the original DC conversation was still open and would not end. I had to turn wireless off and back on. This has happened to me two or three times total.

Sometimes when I'm in the middle of a DC, it will end abruptly for some odd reason, but other than that...no problems to report. (I'll keep my fingers crossed, though)

... if I were you, I'd get on the phone with Nextel and have them send you a replacement if your device is still under warranty, which it should be considering that the 7100i came out not too long ago.

Stopped in and dropped it off let you know how it turns out. No phone for the night don't you think they would give you a phone till yours came in?
Anyway.

No problems here. Use DC 15 times or so daily.

I have had this and I have a I870 nextel. I was going to stop in to my LD and find out if I had a defect or not.

Red face

My 7100i gets stuck when I release the DC button, the conversation doesn't end. It happens maybe once a day. It sucks because they can't get back to me, and I don't know it's stuck so they can hear my whole conversation while my phone is stuck like that.

After i had gotten my replacement device for my scratched screen, I have not had any problems. Sorry to hear you are still having an issue. Try getting service for it if you have the plan, although I think they send it out.
