Server 2003 with exchange 2003 BES sbs 4.0.5a (bundle 23).

upgrading too SBS 2008 premium with exchange 2007.

Will my bes be compatible or will i need to upgrade or run a virtual server

Knot looking good for 4.0 with Exchange 2007.
4.1 upgrade for 999.00 will work on Exchange 2007 but will need a VM.
5.0 upgrade for 999.00 will still need a VM.

Oh well the price of keeping up to date.. Any reason to go to 4.1 when i can go to 5.0?

Also what am i going to need to use as a OS in the VM? Will server (not SBS) 2008 work? Or will i need to run 2003?

4.1 is much simpler and easier to use.

BES 5.0 uses more resources but has flagged messages and Public folder access with devices on OS 5.0.

Not worth it yet for us to be on 5.0.

Server 2000 can be used, but I would go no less than 2003 for using RDP.

None of the BES versioins support SBS 2008.

With a VM you can use 2000 or 2003 to run BES on SBS 2008.
