Default Is it possible to create contact groups on my PC, then sync them to my Blackberry?

Please Login to Remove!

I own a blackberry curve 8300, and I have a PC with windows XP. I have a question for all you experts out there.

I frequently send out mass text messages to hundreds of friends at a time. I use the "Groups" feature in the Curve Address book to do this. It works wonderfully and I love it. However, the annoying part is making the group. This process is slow on the blackberry handheld itself, and would be much quicker on a computer, say using MS Outlook.

But for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to make a group using outlook..When i sync my blackberry to outlook, outlook thinks the "groups" are simply regular contacts with no phone number.

So in essence, my question is: Is there a way to make a group on my PC, and then upload it to my blackberry Via the desktop software sync?

Thank you oh so much!

You can create a distribution list in outlook contacts but I tried that for the hell of it and it didn't transfer over... good question.

Its funny that there isn't any software to do the dirty-work on a full size keyboard (contact list w/addresses/birthdays etc.)
I bought a police scanner over 5years ago and it had this simple program. Do all the fact and figures on the desktop and upload it to the devise. I do not think this is alot to ask for.
Logging in complete detailed info from a non-blackberry devise (147) entries is becoming maddening.

Any ideas?

Also, how do I get blackberryforums.com to automatically email me when someone replies to this? Couldn't find it in any settings.

Thanks...

Distribution lists have to be created on the blackberry - they won't transfer from the PC - unless there is a third party app somewhere
