Hey Blackberry community,

I have encountered a problem which has baffled me and the technicians from Bell. Problem being that my wife (who recently switched from Rogers to Bell) has a BB Bold 9700 and for a reason that I do not understand, cannot receive any of my calls.

When I call her number from my BB Curve 8330, I get the following: Calling --> disconnected... and all this within 1 second. My wife does not see traces that I tried calling.

The Bell techs have done extensive testing on both my wife's and my cell lines and are going towards the idea of a configuration on my wife's BB 9700 that would block my calls... is their such a thing?

Any takers on this one?

I am having the same problem with my wifes Bell 9700... I cannot call her from my Storm or Curve, both on the Bell Network....but can call her from a land line or any other wireless network

Bell tells me it is "my problem" because by default the "Smart Dialling" feature of adding a "+1" in front of a 10 digit # is turned on in my Storm!

That is the way it comes from Bell...if you turn that feature off and do not add a "1" before the 10 digit #, the call will go through!!!
Way to go Bell, now I have to call everyone that is on the Bell Network that has her # and tell them to turn the Samrt Dialling feature off...NICE!!! and ofcourse according to Bell this is MY FAULT!!!
