I'm in Italy for work and my 8900 died suddenly (started rebooting endlessly). Manged to reinstall the firmware (5.0.0.348) and ever since I got the UMA Tmobile Network error 006.7.

I have been connected to this access point for over two weeks now and used UMA with tmob abroad since 2007 (china, france, italy, etc sometimes for over 3 months) without ever encountering a hiccup.

The very weird thing is that now the Tmob US branded 8900 points at tmob UK site. Tried rebooting router, phone and even reisntalling 4.6.1. No luck.

If this thing doesn't work it's a huge problem for me.

BTW since no UMA I cannot call Tmob customer care

Problem solved by reverting back to Tmob original software. Weird as never had a problem with 5.0 before.

Try +1-505-998-3793 for T-Mobile US support from international roaming. At least as of a couple years ago, there was no charge for calling this number from a roaming T-Mobile phone (not just on UMA).

There are always charges for making any call whilst roaming.

That was not the case for this number, at least in 2005 and 2006, for T-Mobile. Or so I was told by US T-Mobile support while I was having issues in the UK.

I have always been charged for every call made or received whilst abroad with T-Mobile in the last 6 years, including that number. The reason is that the provider on which you are roaming still charges T-Mobile for the call

As of 2005-2006, TMO customer service told me they would credit any charges to that number. Your experience appears to have been different.
