How can I search for a specific phone number in my address book? I use a separate mobile phone with a smaller address book than a BB. Sometimes I miss a call and I want to check the number quickly in my BB address book to see who it is. When I used to have a palm this could be done easily, but it doesn't seem to work so well in the BB. Same goes for email addresses, if for example I want to search/filter to show only contacts with an email address from a certain company domain. Anyone have some insight?

This seems to be one of the great, unfortunate, oversights within the BB OS. For some reason, the Search tool allows you to search for text within only two Address Book fields; you can search within the Name and the Notes fields but no others!

Unless I'm missing something fundamental, there is no way to perform the type of search that you are describing.

In regards to the missed call question, mine always shows me the name of who called in the call log and not the number, if it is in my address book.

I can't help with the search features, I never used that, but you might want to add categories to your address book and then use the filters.

I don't use my BB as my phone. Therefore if I miss a call on my mobile and it is not in the phonebook I want to check who it is from my BB's address book.
