AT&T used to disable GPS on Curve. A workaround is to installed BB Map from 4.2 on it.

Will this work on 8520 with OS 4.6?

Don't recall ATT disabling GPS. Verizon did however. ATT did "hide" BB Maps on the 9000 and other models, but Google Maps worked fine.

Don't recall BB Maps 4.2 as a work around.

On BES, all third party applications are disabled. Only BBMap is allowed. AT&T does disable BBMap in 4.5 (using service book). The 4.2 BBMap workaround is verified by many (incl. me)

My fault, 8520 does not have GPS.
