Default Macs and Blackberry syncing

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a Mac user-and have bought PocketMac to synch my gorgeous new BB7100t with Entourage on my Mac. I also ahve to manually hand-code all my phone numbers into the BB, as I don’t keep them in Entourage, but in a phone book ( I can’t use the TMobile web site to do this as I use a Mac).

The problem:
My BB Addressbook has twice "frozen" sut, becoming totally inaccessible, making it impossible to make phone calls or email anyone (but the phone and email works fine.)

I get this error-message:

“Uncaught exception: java.lang
Nul Pointer Exception”

TMobile has given me conflicting information about this error, and don’t know how to fix it. They thought it was because I'd hand-coded in phone numbers (but, but, but, you're supposed to be able to do this!)

The first time it happened, we had to completely wipe out the data on my BB and I had to download my email addresses again.

Has anyone run into this?

Thanks, all! Feel free to email me privately about this:

I've seen this about once every two weeks. I'm also a 7100t user with a Mac and PocketMac software. However I sync to Address Book/iCal.

PocketMac includes an "Advanced Prefs" application that, on its last tab, allows you to erase the BB before sync'ing. They call this "Push" mode. That has gotten me a working BB Contacts again.

Be sure to turn off that feature after syncing.

Hmmm. Can't find this advanced Pref app anywhere.

PM doesn't come with a folder, so I'm not sure where this app would be. I don't see any advanced options listed in the regular Pref's interface.

Suggestions? (and thanks for your help!)

Try /Library/PocketMacBB/AdvancedPrefs/

I don't know why they can't make a regular application like everyone else.
