Default Curve 8530 Things physically get stuck under the screen

Please Login to Remove!

The call/menu/back/end call buttons are part of the screen. Dust gets up under those buttons and gets stuck under the screen! Has this happened to anyone else? I've had this phone for only about 1 or 2 months and more and more particles are getting up in there. It's very distracting and it looks horrible.

Is there any way to get the stuff out?

Here's a picture

Haven't experienced it, but I'm not surprised. Do you carry the device in your pocket without a holster or slip cover or anything?

Yes, I do just put the phone in my pocket without a slipcover. But you should be able to do that, shouldn't you? It's supposed to be portable. A phone should not be designed so that dust can get up under the screen.

I wonder if Sprint would let me exchange for another one exactly the same. Did I get a defective phone?

Wirelessly posted

I have no opinion on whether you should be able to do it or not. I don't think the device is faulty; just the way it is.
Do a search on dust screen and read. You may find instructions for cleaning the dust and dirt from under the screen, but I don't know.

I am having the same problem with dust. I have tried blowing it out with limited success. It looks horrible and viewing certain screens is starting to be a problem. Nothing is loose and I do carry it in my pocket. I am taking it to my friendly neighborhood Sprint store tomorrow. If I get a cure, I will post it here.

I wonder if this is just isolated to sprint phones. I haven't had this the problem with my verizon phone yet. But do please keep up posted.
